So far – updates to my Windows XP installation – and only the most recent round of latitude d520 ethernet finally turned off those darned yellow question marks. As well, plugging in an Ethernet cord doesn’t seem to do anything as I still cannot connect to the internet or my etherneg network. Ethernet cards are nearly always recognised – maybe you latitude d520 ethernet networking disabled from the desktop network icon?
How are you determining that no network cards are recognised? I installed Ubuntu but to my surprise it won’t connect to any network, wired or not. laittude
Maybe something here will help. Good luck to anybody laatitude who encounters this problem! You might want to consider making a backup image of the drive now that you have everything up and running.
